re-design of the i-mode portal for KPN research. the design has a scrollball to navigate through the menus. the design is more transparent as well as more informative about the actions the use should take. after analysis of the existing i-mode portal by doing usabuility the design goals was formulated. A working prototype of the new design was tested and evaluated. i-mode is a kind of "startpagina" for the mobile phone. It is presented as the window to the world explanation of the pictures: 1. history menu: it is possible to go several steps back 2. waiting screen: The ball fills while loading, a small appears on the left side to show the user is one step further in the menu. it also indicates how much steps the user can go back 3. options menu
